about

Summer 2004 - After a bad break-up with a girl I'd been with for 4 years, I travelled overseas for a few months to get myself in order. When I returned home, I wrote and recorded 3 songs in my bedroom, where I'd felt I'd written most of my best material up to that point. This song was written for a pizza cook whom I spent some time with when I was traveling through South East Asia. My trip would have been better for me had access to the internet not tied me down with my problems back home, and I felt bitter about what I'd been told via emails and so-forth while I was there. I was lucky though to make a few friends to keep my mind off the rest of the world while over there, and the pizza cook just happened to be the girl I decided to write a song for when I came back home.
